Hotels are a pleasure to design, because they are the perfect platform for our core intention: to create buildings that inspire joie de vivre. This is the starting point for all our hotel projects, which are designed to put people at ease and establish a meaningful relationship with the location.

Rather than conjuring up the trappings of luxury, we focus on how the spaces will make guests feel. Creating adaptable places for people to enjoy together becomes a process of subtraction, paring down the ideal holiday to its absolute essence: sunlight, the sea, fresh air, free time to do as you please. From this perspective, there is no need for cheap tricks or ‘special effects. Instead, we aim to achieve a profound sense of calm and comfort through flawlessly executed simplicity: parallel lines, symmetrical configurations, and the absence of any clutter that would distract the mind or divert attention from the vistas.

Instantly recognisable as ISV yet never repetitive, our hotel designs project a modern Greekness. Avoiding clichés and historical references, we are inspired by the ideal proportions of antiquity and the honest simplicity of vernacular architecture, but our design vocabulary conveys an unapologetically contemporary identity.
